Attention all laboratory personnel:  When Shipping Chemicals

Be sure to comply with every aspect of

the Department of Transportation regulations on

Hazardous Materials Shipping

- A maximum quantity of 30ml for authorized liquids, or 30g

   of authorized solids per receptacle or article.

- Removable lids are to be held securely in place with wire, tape,

   or other positive means.

- Use cushioning materials that will not react and can absorb

   the entire contents of the receptacle.

- Certify conformance by marking on outside of package “This package conforms

To 49 CFR 173.4”

Please follow packaging and labeling instructions provided inside

conspicuous plastic envelopes in all labs.  When in doubt, please contact:

- Chemistry stockroom shipping or ESH personnel

- FedEx or Airborne Express hazardous materials department
